663: "You Betcha" | Fargo (1996)
This week we're heading north to break down Fargo, the Coen Brothers' pitch-black crime comedy where a mild-mannered car salesman (William H. Macy) hires two bumbling criminals (Steve Buscemi and Peter Stormare) to kidnap his wife, and a very pregnant, very polite police chief (Frances McDormand) follows the trail of bodies through the snow. It's a real good time, you betcha, with a whole lot of 'oh jeez' and 'yah, no, for sure' on the way to some of the coldest murders in the movies. Grab a hotdish, bundle up, and join us.
