Roger Cobb is the greatest American hero... in terms of horror novels. But now he wants to branch out and write a memoir of his time in Vietnam as a way of dealing with his guilt from leaving a fellow soldier behind. He's just moved into his aunt's house, which she had lived in up until she hanged herself in the bedroom. As a new homeowner, Roger has to deal with property taxes, lawn maintenance, and the occasional demonic creature trying to kill him. As his next door neighbor (Harold) cheers him on, he must overcome his fear in order to save himself and his son.
