Tre Styles moves in with his father, Furious Styles, who is trying to be a father to his son in a neighborhood without fathers. Tre's friends, Doughboy and Ricky, are brothers but on the opposite ends of life — Ricky is on track to get a college football scholarship and Doughboy has just come home from prison. Each person has to find a way to keep moving forward when the deck seems stacked against them.
