Newly single Steven Kovacs (Matthew Broderick) slips a $50 bribe to a manic technician (Jim Carrey) for free movie channels, but he gets more than "preferred" service. Soon, the pop-culture-obsessed Cable Guy is inserting himself into Steven’s life—from "Medieval Times" brawls to high-stakes games of Password.
